Winterfest Derby on Lake Manawa: Prize Drawings 2012

Due to unusually warm winter weather and unsafe ice conditions, the Winterfest Ice Fishing Derby at Lake Manawa had to be cancelled for 2012. However, pre-registrants were still eligible to win the prizes that were originally slated to be given away. The drawing was held on Tuesday, January 31 at Bass Pro Shops in Council Bluffs.

Many guests also enjoyed the Winterfest Ice Bash which took place as scheduled on Friday, January 27 at Mall of the Bluffs Hy-Vee. The free event included extensive door prizes, an ice fishing seminar, rules & safety for the derby, a raffle and silent auction. For just $7 guests enjoyed a fish fry provided by Hy-Vee which benefitted both Friends of Lake Manawa and Recycled Fish.
The Winterfest Derby committe would like to congratulate all of this year’s winners, and thank its sponsors and everyone who entered.
